This Content Policy describes what kinds of content appear on Ember & Ace, how that content is created and curated, and the standards we hold every prompt, dare, card, and game text to. Accepting the Terms of Service also constitutes acceptance of this Content Policy.
1. What This Platform Publishes
Ember & Ace is a party games platform designed for ages 16 and older. Published prompts, dares, trivia, game copy, and atmosphere text are curated by the Ember & Ace team. Some games temporarily accept player-written responses during a private room; those responses are gameplay data, not additions to the published catalog.
2. Content That Is Never Published
The following content is prohibited on this platform without exception. No prompt, dare, or game element will ever include:
- Any sexual, romantic, or drinking scenario involving anyone under 18.
- Non-consensual scenarios, coercion, or content that frames consent as optional or negotiable.
- Content that targets, mocks, or degrades individuals based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or body.
- Prompts designed to humiliate, shame, or publicly expose specific individuals.
- Content promoting self-harm, suicide, or dangerous behavior.
- Illegal activity, including drug use beyond legal alcohol references, and illegal weapons.
- Real-person impersonation, defamation, or private information disclosure.
- Prompts whose main purpose is to solicit trauma, outing, infidelity, third-party secrets, or disclosures likely to create harm after the game ends.
3. Content Level System
Games with variable prompt tone use four explicit content levels. Every game defaults to the safest available level, and restricted levels require a separate deliberate choice.
- All Groups (16+) is the default: social, clean, and suitable for mixed groups within the platform audience.
- Bold (16+) may be more personal or provocative but does not include explicit sexual or drinking content.
- After Dark (18+) includes explicit or strongly adult content and requires confirmation from participating devices.
- Drinking (21+) is a separate optional lane and is never implied by enabling After Dark.
4. Drinking Content (21+)
Any prompt or rule involving alcohol is gated behind a separate 21+ confirmation. Enabling After Dark does not enable Drinking Mode. The 21+ confirmation is scoped to the device and stored according to the user's storage choice.
5. Consent Mechanics In Gameplay
Games involving personal prompts provide a pass, redraw, withdrawal, host skip, or equivalent alternative appropriate to their mechanic. No explanation is required for using one. Physical dares include an explicit check-in step before performance. These controls support boundaries but do not replace genuine communication between participants.
6. How Content Is Reviewed
Editorial review evaluates a prompt or game element’s age lane, consent framing, disclosure pressure, third-party privacy, humiliation risk, dangerous-behavior risk, and basic quality. Automated structural checks supplement that review. Content identified as failing a required standard is rejected, rewritten, or removed.
7. Reporting a Problem
If you encounter a prompt that you believe violates this policy, report it with the game name and enough prompt text for us to locate it. We will investigate and remove or rewrite it as appropriate.

8. User-Generated Content
Community-submitted prompt packs and decks are not part of Ember & Ace. Some games accept temporary player-written responses inside a private room; those responses are not added to the published catalog. Any future shared-content feature will require clear moderation, reporting, and removal rules before it becomes available.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as Ember & Ace changes. Material changes will appear with a revised date. If a future feature requires renewed acceptance, that choice will be presented before the feature becomes available.
